Call for Commission of Inquiry
In regards to the Vellar Mansions (see Mercury 23rd June).
Certain key aspects have come to light in this article and have now been explained.
This is serious enough in light of the former Council to warrant a Commission of Inquiry.
This should now be instigated on behalf of all Wollongong ratepayers with the former Council authorities and others, who were involved in passing these developments, to explain how and why this happened and what their roles were in it.
This would be in the public interest.
